Dr. Schoderbek Joins Orthopaedic Specialists of Charleston

Roper St. Francis Healthcare is pleased to announce that Robert Schoderbek Jr., MD, has joined Orthopaedic Specialists of Charleston, a member of Roper St. Francis Physician Partners.


Charleston, SCRoper St. Francis Healthcare is pleased to announce that Robert Schoderbek Jr., MD, has joined Orthopaedic Specialists of Charleston, a member of Roper St. Francis Physician Partners.

 

Dr. Schoderbek earned a bachelor’s degree in biological engineering from North Carolina State University. He received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). While completing his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Virginia (UVA), he was a recipient of the UVA Outstanding Junior Orthopaedic Resident Award.

 

He then completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Ala. where he studied with James R. Andrews, MD, who is internationally known and recognized throughout the world for his scientific and clinical research contributions in knee, shoulder and elbow injuries, and his skill as an orthopaedic surgeon.

 

Dr. Schoderbek currently serves as team physician for Wando High School. He resides on Sullivan’s Island.
